Our Vision

ESG Approach

C C Land recognise the impact the property sector has on the environment and its contribution to climate change.

We are proactive about our commitment to sustainability and the journey we are on to manage progress towards reducing environmental impact and increasing wellbeing for our teams, occupiers, and visitors to our commercial office portfolio.

The Real Estate sector is responsible for approximately 40% of annual global CO2 emissions, 20% of water use, 30% of energy consumption. The latest research from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is a call to action from all elements of society to accelerate transition to a low carbon future. C C Land’s iconic buildings will need to adapt to remain best in class buildings.

To this end, C C Land has appointed Savills Earth to support them in outlining their priorities for each strand of sustainability: environmental, social and governance. To help establish these objectives, the following elements were delivered in 2022 across the UK commercial office portfolio:

  • An ESG workshop and materiality assessment survey to help the Group prioritise risks and opportunities for their UK commercial office portfolio
  • A peer review to understand best practice on ESG in similar buildings/funds
  • An environmental and qualitative social assessment of The Leadenhall Building

Sustainability initiatives will be explored and considered for wider rollout, across all of C C Land’s UK material assets in 2023.
